I am SO excited to announce that earlier this morning, my husband and I closed on our FIRST HOME!!! We could not be more thrilled…and terrified…all at the same time! (If you’ve ever bought a home, you know the feeling!)
We have said from the beginning what a blessing the whole experience has been. Yes, it has been stressful at times, but we believe people were specifically placed in our lives to help us with this process – it was definitely what we call “a God thing” all the way around!
We starting casually looking at homes in the Fall of 2012, when my husband started calculating how much we had spent in rent up to that point. (That’ll get ya every time!)
I often think that I carry too much in my purse, but then I don’t know what I should eliminate! I mean…what if I NEED something, and I need it after I’ve decided to not carry it anymore? (Ah, these voices in my head…)
So I figured some opinions wouldn’t hurt!
This is the purse I’m carrying today. (Yes, today. Yes, I’m one of those switch-out-my-purse-everyday people.)
Maybe it’s just me, but when I find something that makes life a little easier, I get excited!
I discovered the “already chopped and packaged” onions in the produce section quite some time ago. I LOVE them, because, although I like chopping things in general, I HATE chopping onions. You can probably guess why: not only do they burn my eyes, but I always feel like my hands smell of onion smell long after I wash them multiple times.
Most everything else I chop on the cutting board or use my mini chopper for. What’s a mini chopper? Something like this:
I LOVE mine! But my new discovery trumps even this!
Well, first of all, let me just say Happy International Waffle Day!
The pic comes from my favorite waffle company, Van’s Natural Foods!
And since probably no one is planning to serve waffles on Easter, let’s talk about your Easter Menu!
So for a while now I’ve had some paper boxes on the shelf in my office.
See the teal ones at the top and the colored ones towards the bottom? They’re nice and bright and colorful, however, I wanted them to be green and/or brown…since my office is decorating in shades of green and brown.
